Chip Conk, Chief Executive Officer / Principal
As President and CEO of Montecito Corporation, Chip Conk plays a dynamic and central role in the company’s tremendous success and expansion. In 2006, Montecito Medical Investment Corporation was named the second fastest growing medical related real estate company in the country. To date, Montecito Medical has acquired more than $500 million in medical-related real estate, with new deals taking place monthly. MMIC is well on track to acquiring over five million square feet before the close of the year.
Robert R. Neyland, Chief Financial Officer / Principal
Robert joined Montecito in October of 2002 with leadership responsibilities for the evaluation, acquisition, financing and renovation of Montecito’s real estate holdings. His extensive background in banking includes tenure as a vice president of San Antonio’s Frost National Bank and executive vice president of Gill Savings.
Sean Sorrell, Chief Investment Officer / Principal
Sean has specialized in commercial real estate investment, acquisition, financing and disposition for eighteen years. He transacted over $1 billion in business while processing the closing of 124 transactions in 14 different markets between 1995 and 2003. As Chief Investment Officer, Sean oversees the acquisition process and works closely with underwriting and lending partners.
Barry Gillingwater, Consultant
Barry draws upon decades of experience in developing and marketing income-producing properties, which includes work with the federal government as well as insurance, savings and loans and other institutional and private investors. He founded a Texas company in 1969 which ultimately handled over twenty thousand rental units and more than two million square feet of commercial space.
Chris Conk, Acquisitions / Principal
As one of Montecito’s core team members, Chris oversees acquisitions for MMIC on the West Coast. Over the past ten years, he has been involved in the acquisition of more than 5,500 multi-family residential units and over 500,000 square feet of medical related real estate.
Joellyn Conk, Director of Marketing / Principal
Joellyn served as director of design and renovation for Montecito Property Company since its inception. An expert in brand creation and product design, Joellyn is responsible for creating the distinctive ‘Montecito look’ that has helped generate over one billion dollars in annual sales for the company. Joellyn is also integral in the development and execution of Montecito Medical’s marketing strategy.
Rowland Hanson, Strategic Communications / Principal
Rowland joined Montecito in October of 2007 with responsibility for building awareness of Montecito’s successful track record in healthcare real estate. He brings to Montecito his global reputation in building brands in a variety of categories. From Microsoft Corporation to Windows to Neutrogena Corporation to the Nautilus Group (Bowflex, StairMaster, Schwinn Fitness), he has been directly involved in creating and / or enhancing the perceived value of some the world’s best known brands.
William S. Rogers Jr., Executive Vice President and General Counsel / Principal
William is an attorney and expert in commercial real estate lending, commercial leasing, and general real estate sales, acquisition and development with a primary emphasis in multifamily properties. He was the managing partner for the Florida office of an international, premier full-service law firm, serving general counsel and corporations and specialized in general commercial real estate before joining the Montecito executive team.
Ron Hart, Executive Vice President / Principal
Ron is a veteran executive leader with 30 years of multi-faceted healthcare industry real estate expertise. He served as president of Healthcare Realty Services and was senior vice president of property management for a leading medical office property company. He is expert in delivering integrated real estate services for large health systems which include project development, design, construction and property management. Ron was founding partner and EVP for PM Realty Group in Houston.
Debbie Clark, Executive Vice President / Investor Reporting / Due Diligence
Debbie brings over 20 years of experience in the multi-family industry from working as Regional Manager with several blue chip real estate companies and as M/F Vice President and Asset Manager of Franklin Federal Bancorp. Debbie has been instrumental in the success of Montecito over the last five years serving in a variety of capacities for the company including operations, due diligence, entitlements, conversion, closings, and financial reporting.
Joseph M. Baugh, Senior Vice President - Acquisitions
Joseph recently joined Montecito from Medical Properties Trust, where he was directly involved in closing over $750mm in healthcare real estate transactions over the last four years. During his time there, MPT grew from zero assets to close to $1 Billion.
Adrian Bocwinski, Vice President / Finance
Adrian is responsible for acquisition underwriting and project finance. Adrian was formerly a Financial Analyst for Montecito Property Company where he underwrote and assisted in the acquisition of over $1 Billion in multifamily assets.
Janice R. Long, Vice President / Due Diligence / Entitlements
Jan joined Montecito in 2004 and oversees all due diligence for the Company. Jan served as Vice President of Entitlements for Montecito Property Company for four years where she played an integral part in due diligence as well as condo conversions, and closings. Jan has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate.
Bobby Park, Vice President / Underwriting / Acquisitions
Bobby Park is responsible for acquisition underwriting and project finance. Since joining Montecito Medical in 2005, Bobby assisted in acquiring over $450mm in healthcare related real estate. Prior to joining Montecito Medical, Bobby worked for Marcus & Millichap, a national commercial real estate investment firm.

Scott Kuklish, Executive Vice President and Director, Medical Real Estate Services
As Executive Vice President and Director of Medical Real Estate Services, Kuklish is responsible for overseeing PM Realty Group’s national medical real estate services division, which includes seeking out acquisition opportunities for medical office buildings and hospitals throughout the United States, and pursuing new business development opportunities in Hawaii.
Rick Rains, CPM®, Senior Vice President, Medical Property Operations
A 26-year veteran real estate professional, Rains is responsible for the asset management and property operations of the ventures portfolio. His diverse background includes extensive management and financial experience on a variety of property types. Rains received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from City University in Seattle, Washington. He holds Certified Property Manager (CPM®), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designations.

Lee Roberts, President, Montecito Research & Analytics
With an extensive background in the planning, development and implementation of integrated technology systems, Lee Roberts lead a systems development team at Arthur Anderson with a heavy focus in the medical field. Lee has engineered and executed key systems for companies including Thomson (Tax & Accounting), Bank One, Warrantech, Progressive Database Systems, MedStrong, Patriot American, and Motorola. He founded and is the principal shareholder of Dominion Technology Partners, Inc., a Dallas-based provider of management information systems.
Michael Browning, Vice President, Research & Development, Montecito Research & Analytics
Mr. Browning, as a Principle, and Vice President of Research & Development brings creativity to solving the ageless questions of identifying the factors that determine success in medical real estate acquisition, development and leasing. His extensive background in medical real estate includes tenure as Director of Research & Development for major healthcare providers before building his own real estate consulting firm which was sold to Montecito Investment Corporation in November of 2007.
Mark Grommesh, Vice President Business Development, Montecito Research & Analytics
Mark Grommesh brings and extensive background of over 20 years in senior operations, marketing and sales positions. Mark pioneered the integration of Internet Sports Promotions and television as COO of Prime Sports Interactive, generating over $6 million in e-Commerce revenue annually. He has also served as director of Market Analysis for a major healthcare system, directing the development of a robust decision support system for medical real estate analysis. Mark is an alumnus of The University of Minnesota.

Michael Burress, Managing Partner
Michael Burress has over 18 years of experience in the financial services, real estate and software industries. Prior to Montecito Medical Ventures, Michael founded Sierra Principal Group, LLC, a Dallas-based private equity group, where he was the Managing Partner. Sierra Principal invested in and currently owns and manages a portfolio of medical, data center, and commercial real estate limited partnerships.
Leete Jackson
Leete Jackson has over 14 years of debt/equity finance, underwriting and sales experience. Specifically, for the past 5 years, Leete played an integral role in direct financings of Physician Owned Ambulatory Surgery Center/Surgical Hospital (roughly $100MM worth of investment capital raised) Limited Partnerships and medical real estate developments and acquisitions (roughly $500MM worth of investment capital raised). Prior to Montecito Ventures, Leete served as a Co-Founding Principal at Upstream Capital Partners, a Private Placement Broker-Dealer based in Dallas, Texas. Prior to Upstream, he served as a director of the Corporate Client Group at Salomon Smith Barney in New York City.
